About JANAFA-Newport

JANAFA-Newport, short for Japan America Navy Friendship Association-Newport, is a non-profit Japan-America society based in the Newport RI area. The society aims to connect individuals who have served in Japan, are going to serve in Japan, or have significant connections with Japan (American or Japanese). Their mission is to promote the US-Japan Alliance and foster greater friendship between the two countries. JANAFA-Newport arranges activities that focus on connecting servicemembers and their families together to help them prepare for future assignments in Japan or to celebrate their previous time in Japan.
